Bespoke Rooftop Support Frame, London

Bespoke, off-site solutions are becoming increasingly popular on many of our customers installs, with this recent London based project being no different! 


Kernow were tasked with designing & supplying a large rooftop plant deck which could support 3x 16 tonne AHU units, incorporating­ a service walkway as well as providing support to a number of building services which were to be suspended underneath.

Our in-house technical team worked closely with the customer incorporating our designs and loadings into the customer's BIM model. Due to the weight of the plantrooms, it was imperative that the deck support feet were lined up exactly with the steel beams of the building structure.

With a crane booked and the closure of a busy London road authorised, time was of the essence. Our workshop team pulled out all the stops, pre-fabricating the siFRAMO framework which was delivered in kit form, complete with install instructions enabling
straight forward construction on-site. The frames were
constructed on time, ready for when the crane arrived to lift the
AHU units into place.
