Delivering Certainty in the Heart of London

Woolgate ExchangeWoolgate Exchange is a 350,000 sq ft landmark office building in the heart of the City of London. The redevelopment encompassed the refurbishment of all nine storeys, together with the construction of a new rooftop pavilion.

The Delivery Challenge

Kernow supported the project by supplying cable tray, ladder and associated fixings, together with components for a rooftop support system. On a tightly controlled central London site, supplying the right products was only part of the challenge; they also had to arrive at precisely the right time.

Every delivery had to be booked well in advance and made within a strict time window. With limited storage space and multiple trades working to coordinated schedules, a late or missed delivery could leave installers waiting, require delivery slots to be rebooked and cause knock-on disruption to subsequent work.

Careful Coordination Kept Work Moving

To minimise these risks, Kernow worked closely with the site logistics team to plan each delivery around the project programme. Using our own drivers provided valuable continuity, with drivers becoming familiar with site procedures, building strong relationships with the logistics team and maintaining clear communication throughout.

Despite unpredictable London traffic, materials consistently arrived as scheduled and within the particularly narrow delivery windows. This reliability gave the customer confidence that products would be available when needed, helping them plan labour effectively and keep installation work moving.

By combining dependable supply with precise delivery management, Kernow helped reduce logistical risk, minimise disruption and protect productivity on a demanding, space-restricted site. The project remained firmly on track, with the contractor highly satisfied with the outcome.
