Precision Deliveries To The Canada Water Rejuvination Project

We are pleased to have been involved with supplying the extraordinary Plot A1 project, a sustainable and award-winning mixed-use building central to the rejuvenation of Canada Water in Central London.

Plot A1 is a hybrid building within the Canada Water Masterplan. The 35-storey tower combines retail, commercial, and residential spaces, topped with commercial roof gardens. At ground level, the building extends into a low-rise podium of warehouse-style flexible workspaces, designed to appear as three distinct buildings. Its prominent location adjacent to Canada Water Station provides excellent transport links to the rest of the city.

Our client, an Electrical Contractor, was faced with a tight project schedule and numerous logistical challenges due to the Central London location. As a result, they required a supplier who could respond to their needs quickly and adhere to very strict booking-in procedures.

How Did Kernow Provide Support?

With our own vehicles already servicing central London daily and a dedicated internal team on hand to liaise closely with the contractor, we were able to ensure goods reached the site seamlessly and precisely when required, despite the very narrow delivery windows.

Due to the scale of the project, Kernow provided numerous bulk deliveries of channel, containment, studding and fixings, as well as a complete rooftop support system. While Kernow vehicles were delivering to site regularly, each delivery still required advance booking-in with detailed descriptions of all products scheduled for that drop.

Conclusion

All goods were delivered on time and in full compliance with the site’s stringent logistical procedures. This helped the project remain on track and allowed the contractor to keep the momentum going on this complex, high-profile build.
