Installing M and E Services in Marine Environments - Carbis Bay

Whilst often beautiful, marine environments come with their challenges, being highly corrosive with high concentration of sodium chloride in both direct and atmospheric contact.

Standard fixings and brackets corrode and can fail very quickly, putting the supported services at risk and causing potentially very expensive re-installs and penalties, not to mention the possible risk of harm to persons nearby.

Kernow Fixings have been very pleased to work closely with the M&E contractors on a luxury seafront development at Carbis Bay, to provide the fixings and support systems required supplied using only fully corrosion-resistant materials.

Four-tier support frames were prefabricated offsite in our facility to save the contractor time, hassle, and risk on site.

    

Delivered pre-assembled along with the cable containment, the support frames could be easily erected along the services route, ready for over 350 metres of corrosion resistant cable containment to be fitted.

A quick and straightforward install - no assembling of brackets on site - and a happy customer!
